FAQs

Our most common questions

How is mead made?

Like other alcoholic drinks, mead is made by natural sugars breaking down over time in a controlled environment. In wine these sugars would come from grapes – in mead, it comes from honey.

Why is it called ‘Pure’ Mead?

Because we use 100% honey in the ferment for a natural flavour. Other meads use a blend of honey and sugar, but we think bees have a pretty perfect recipe.

What does Pure Mead taste like?

The best way to find out is to share a bottle with friends. It has a nose of fresh honey and tastes delicately sweet. Light and crisp, like a dry white wine.

Where should I drink it?

Anywhere you’d enjoy a glass of wine. From date night to movie night. Pure Mead is perfect for house warming, party-starting or sofa sipping.
